Outreach at St Peters

Local Outreach

St. Peter’s is involved in over a dozen local agencies and outreach initiatives, including Beacon House recovery program, Harbor Interfaith, YWCA, Shawl House, Hope House, and Toberman House. We also support ministries that specifically help low income and the unhoused in our community: San Pedro, Alliance, Laundry Love and Family Promise.

Other outreach events occur seasonally, including a Lenten Outreach Drop (food, clothing and office supplies collected for local charities), Thanksgiving Food Drive, Christmas gift giving for needy families, and a Holiday Giving Fair.

Whether you are looking for a weekly hands-on ministry, or a way to give monthly or annually, there are numerous ways to serve through St. Peter’s!

Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD)

Episcopal Relief & Development supports local and world-wide, long-term initiatives that address poverty, hunger, disease, economic development and disaster response where the need is greatest. St. Peter’s has been an ongoing supporter of ERD. We invite you to learn more about this wonderful organization by clicking on the link above.

Our own Bill Seixas was recognized as an honorary Canon for his work in raising money for ERD programs at St. Peter’s. For 30+ years, Bill helped the parish raise between $14,000 – $17,000 each year.
